1. How much would the participation fees be?
The participation fee is RM35 per pax and RM140 per team of four.

2. Would master students, research officers of MMU and outsiders eligible to join?
Yes, definitely. Our event is open to public. Anyone can participate. As you can read from our previous post, No age limitation,no organization restriction.

3. Is it possible to have a team with less than 4 members (2 or 3 members)?
Well, it's not encourage to have a team with less than 4 members because you'll complete the tasks slower and some stations require 4 members to play together.

4. Are we supposed to use our own transport for the entire race (if so, are we supposed to pay for the petrol ourselves)?
Yes, we're not providing transport and petrol to our participants because we are covering T-shirts, entrance fees for the stations, 1 meal for participants and prizes for the top three.

5. Are there any meals provided during the entire race?
As mentioned above, yes, we will be providing 1 meal for participants.

6. Any SAPS point given to participants?
Yes. SAPS point will be given to MMU students who participate.

Does 1 have to be MMU student to join?

I guess some of you might be confused or wondering about the participation limitations of AdventuRace.

I would say,don't worry! Get any buddy you like to be your teammate. AdventuRace is open to the public! No age limitation,no organization restriction. Even the oldest granny at home can join!

So it is a real good chance to have fun and know more people around.

Here's the few universities and colleges we are inviting.

Archery

Oh well, I guess this is one of the most unexpected station to be.

Have you ever fantasy to be a legendary archer? Or to pull the bow and shoot on the heart of every target with your eagle eye?

YES! This is the challenge you will be facing-Archery!

Thank you so much to Multimedia University Archery Club for providing this station.
The MMU Archery Club aims to provide dicipline education and training in archery to produce notable archers in Malaysia. So you should know how good they are! President of the club is Mr. Goh Yeow Hong. You can visit their website http://archery.mmu.edu.my/index.php if you are interested to be the next legendary archer!

I've personally tried archery before this, well I'm pretty good! Lets see if you can beat me.

This time around you would need to play in a team of 4......

Jungle Trekking

Has anyone of you know that we can actually do jungle trekking at Putrajaya too? We'll do it at Putrajaya Challenge Park as well! Besides the challenge park(wall climbing), they have this skate park too! how cool is that?

Without further ado, let's start the journey!

Wall Climbing

After waited for so many days, time to update AdventuRace 2010 blog!

This time we would like to introduce another station to you all, that is Wall Climbing. I believe most of you already know what is it. We will do this at Putrajaya Challenge Park(PCP), located at Presint 5, Putrajaya.

This is PCP building. It looks very nice. [click pictures to enlarge]

We were amazed by PCP at the first sight when we walked in. The wall climbing place is h-u-g-e! and they do have different types, different levels of walls.

There will be a marshal guiding you along the way up to the peak.

They do have boulders too.

Q: Are the gears will be provided by AdventuRace 2010 for wall climbing?
A: Yes, definitely.

Driving Range

It's time to introduce our stations to you all..!

As you can read from the title above, it is Driving Range or better known as Golf.

Driving Range park is located at Kelab Komuniti Taman Tasik Cyberjaya. 20 Bays available at there. Why we choose this as one of our stations? That is because most of us here do not know how to play golf and think that golf is an old man sport. Golf requires a good posture and high accuracy.

What are the rules for this game? How are we going to play it? Let's keep it first. You'll know it on 27th February!

AdventuRace's Game Description

Each team consists of 4 members in a car.
Six stations will be set.
Multimedia University Cyberjaya is the starting & ending point.
Every team randomly choose which stations to go first.
Every team has to complete the task(s) given by each station the only move to other stations.
Token will be given at each station after completing the task(s).
Penalty will be given too if teams are unable to complete the task(s) given at each station.
Team that collects all the tokens from each station reaches the ending point first will win the race!

Have you ever heard of Amazing Race or Explorace? I bet you do! AdventuRace or better known as Adventure Race is proudly presented by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) of Multimedia University, Cyberjaya campus. Basically Adventurace has almost the same idea like the television game show where 4 people form a team and play from station to station around Cyberjaya and Putrajaya to complete the tasks and challenges given.

WHEN? 27th FEBRUARY 2010
WHERE? Cyberjaya & Putrajaya
Starting & Ending Point: Multimedia University, Cyberjaya

It is a one-day event joining both photo-hunt and interesting station games which are located in Cyberjaya & Putrajaya. Attractive prizes are waiting for y-o-u at the ending point.
